Why use order-number mapping?
Many shops show customers a sequential order number or one generated by a third-party plugin instead of the internal WooCommerce order ID. The mapping determines how the value entered in the public form is matched to the correct WooCommerce order.
Automatic detection
In standard mode, the plugin efficiently checks the WooCommerce order ID and known order-number meta keys without broadly searching all orders every time the form is loaded.
WooCommerce order ID
In this mode, only the internal technical order ID is used. This is useful when exactly this number is also visible to customers.
Custom order number via meta key
Here, only the configured meta keys are queried. One active meta key is entered per line. Keeping the list small and targeted helps the public check remain efficient.
Inspect meta keys
The inspection searches recent WooCommerce orders for likely custom order-number fields. Any keys found can then be added to the active list.
Test mapping
Enter an order number exactly as a customer would use it. The test shows whether an order is found and which source was used for the match.
