Technical minimum requirements

• WordPress 6.0 or newer
• PHP 7.4 or newer
• A working WordPress installation with backend access
• For the contact fallback: working email delivery via WordPress

Recommended preparation

Before setup, decide which frequently asked questions you want to answer, how they should be organised by topic and which terms visitors are likely to use when searching. A small, well-structured knowledge base is usually more helpful than a large number of almost identical FAQs.

Check email delivery

The contact form uses the standard wp_mail() function. If WordPress generally does not send reliable emails on your website, the mail configuration or an SMTP setup should be checked first.

No external chat platform required

The Lite core does not require an external chatbot or hosted support service for FAQ management, search and the help centre. PRO uses a connection to the WM Plugins licensing service for licence checks and licensed updates.
