Why use additional search terms?
Visitors often use different words from the internal product or technical terminology. An FAQ titled “Download invoice” can therefore also include terms such as “receipt”, “invoice”, “PDF invoice” or “billing”.
Input
Enter the terms in the Search terms field separated by commas. They are not displayed as visible tags in the frontend, but are used specifically to improve findability.
Weighting
Matches in the additional search terms are weighted significantly more strongly in the global search than a random match deep in the answer text. Carefully maintained synonyms can therefore be very effective.
Practical recommendation
Use genuine terms that customers are likely to enter. Too many general words such as “help”, “problem” or “question”, on the other hand, reduce the ability to distinguish between different FAQs.
