What is WM Support Assistant designed for?
WM Support Assistant combines a centrally managed FAQ knowledge base with a floating Support Assistant and a standalone FAQ/help centre page. Visitors can first search for answers themselves and, if necessary, send a request via the integrated contact form.
The shared knowledge base
FAQs are managed as a separate content type in WordPress. Categories, tags, additional search terms and synonyms help structure content sensibly and make it easier to find. The same published FAQs can be used in the floating Support Assistant and via the shortcode [wm_support_assistant] on a standalone FAQ page.
Lite as a complete foundation
The Lite version includes the core workflow: FAQ management, global instant answers, weighted search, “Show more”, related questions, ratings, contact fallback, extensive design and text options, a standalone FAQ page, JSON import/export and a support report.
PRO extends the workflow
The PRO add-on adds page-specific FAQ sets, content monitoring, knowledge base statistics, stored support requests, an autoresponder, advanced frontend controls, custom icons and a proactive help bubble, among other features.
Important: The search function of the floating Support Assistant is fundamentally designed to search the entire knowledge base. PRO can only compile the FAQs initially suggested on an individual page based on context.
