Shared data foundation

Lite and PRO use the same FAQ data, taxonomies and shared plugin settings. Existing FAQs are not copied or moved into a separate system when PRO is activated.

PRO takes over the extended runtime workflow

When Lite is active, the required minimum version is installed and the PRO entitlement is valid, the PRO add-on takes over the extended frontend and backend workflow. This keeps the shared shortcodes and data intact while adding further features.

Without an active PRO entitlement

If the PRO licence is not valid, the protected PRO modules are not registered as normal. The Lite version remains active and provides the basic feature set.

Updates

If PRO requires a specific minimum Lite version, update Lite first and then PRO. This ensures that the expected interfaces are available before the add-on takes over its extended runtime workflow.
