Export

The export under System → Import / Export creates a JSON file. It includes FAQs, categories, tags, FAQ metadata and shared plugin settings.

FAQ data in the export

For each FAQ, the export includes, among other things, the title, content, excerpt, status, order, search terms, instant-answer status, related-questions setting, individual contact button, and category and tag names.

Import

The import accepts compatible WM Support Assistant JSON files. Settings are applied and FAQs are created as new entries. Existing content is not deleted.

Important when importing repeatedly

Because existing FAQs are not automatically merged by title or ID, repeatedly importing the same file can create additional FAQ records. Use the import deliberately as a transfer or recovery workflow.
