PHP extensions

WM Guard checks a selection of recommended PHP extensions such as cURL, DOM, mbstring, OpenSSL, ZIP, Intl, EXIF, Fileinfo, and Sodium, plus the presence of Imagick or GD.

Autoload and cache

The size of autoloaded WordPress options can be used as a performance signal. WM Guard also detects a persistent object cache and certain cache drop-ins.

Additional technical values

These include the database character set, number of active plugins, enabled automatic plugin updates, and the WordPress memory limit. The information helps with diagnosis but is not uniformly security-critical.
