1. Review the overview

Open WM Plugins → Guard and start with the red and yellow findings under This site’s condition.

2. Expand findings

Open the details of a finding. You will see why the item matters and, where available, recommended next steps.

3. Make a deliberate choice about online diagnostics

Under Settings → Optional online diagnostics you can allow additional WordPress.org, DNS, and self-tests. Local checks continue to work without this permission.

4. Configure notifications

If desired, enable warnings on decline and/or the monthly report. Check the configured recipient address.

5. Enable extra protection only when it fits your site

Protection switches are off by default. Enable only features whose effects you understand—especially XML-RPC if Jetpack or the WordPress mobile app is used.
