What does the switch allow?

The switch permits three groups of additional checks: WordPress.org queries for core checksums and plugin-directory data, DNS queries for SPF/DMARC, and HTTP self-tests against your own site.

Saving does not start a Witte Marketing service

This opt-in is independent from external analysis, the detailed report, and monitoring by Witte Marketing. Saving the setting does not activate any of those services.

When disabled

WM Guard removes scheduled directory checks and deletes the related cached results for core checksums, plugin-directory status, email authentication, operational self-tests, and the maintenance-mode probe.
