The SMTP page provides two separate tests:

• Test connection: checks whether an SMTP connection can be established.
• Send test email: sends an actual test email to the specified recipient address.

A compact sending log stores a maximum of the last 20 Form4Events results. Recipient addresses are masked in the log. The log can be cleared manually.

A successful SMTP test confirms the technical transmission, but does not guarantee inbox placement. SPF, DKIM and ideally DMARC are among the factors relevant to deliverability.
